Warehouse Lead

**Job Summary**
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for the direct management and handling of all inventories and all warehousing and distribution functions. He or she will be accountable for inbound and outbound freight, as well as ensuring adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures. The Warehouse Lead will accomplish effective logístical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.
**JOB DUTIES**
- Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of corporate warehouses.
- Ensure and maintain accurate Finished Goods inventory counts.
- Ensure all production orders are shipped in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
- Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product.
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
- Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
- Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding inventory, regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
- Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
- Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, crash pads, dollies, and so on.
- Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action.
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
- Supervise facility design, improvements, repairs, and design.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
- Journeyman Parts Technician preferred
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Experience in the oilfield industry preferred.
- High School Diploma, G.E.D or a sufficient amount of combined experience and education.
- Current international shipping experience required
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory control, or materials management.
- 5 years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply chain management position.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of ERP / MRP systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
- Solid project management skills are essential.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office/Warehouse Environment
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required.
- Sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting and carrying objects
- May also be required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time.
- This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils.
- Overtime as required
Starting wage is negotiable based on experience.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
