- Work closely with the Accounting & Reporting and Tax teams to communicate relevant accounting and tax considerations in respect of corporate and project-level hedging activities.
- Develop an understanding of the currency and interest rate markets in Northland’s core and prospective growth jurisdictions in order to support the Growth and Development teams with relevant assumptions and insights.

Strategic Initiatives & Other Activities
- Support the Growth teams with corporate-specific analyses and metrics to assist with project evaluations.
- Develop an understanding of the power industry and Northland’s peer group in order to assist in developing relevant benchmarks and analyses.
- Proactively identify opportunities and key drivers to improve Northland’s long-term outlook.
- Support the senior finance team by providing thoughtful and comprehensive analyses that assist in strategic decision-making.
- Assist in certain aspects of the financial reporting close process, including preparing material for external auditors, management, and the Board of Directors.
- Assist in internal corporate reporting requirements and special projects as required.
- Participate in and support cross-functional projects and initiatives involving Financial Risk Oversight, FP&A, Project Finance and Corporate Finance, such as asset level financings and capital raises.

Who You Are:

- Methodical and focused: you are detail-oriented, organized and able to effectively triage, sequence and manage competing priorities.
