**Job Profile**:
There is an opening for the above position within the Planning Services Division of the Community Development Department available immediately. Reporting to the Supervisor - Development Planning, this position is responsible for the following duties:
**What you will be doing**:

- Manage department planning act timelines and activities for files, coordinating with file Planners
- Regularly prepare reports for summary data on development
- Coordinate and calculate DC contributions for planning files
- Represents the City in the development community and in front of Council and the public
- Attend monthly meetings for subdivision review, neighbourhood and liaison meetings with the public as required
- Represent City as an expert witness at the Ontario Land Tribunal.
- Involvement in long range planning studies as required
- Other development coordination activities as required, including KPI’

**Education**:
Undergraduate Level - Four years or equivalent in Planning or Similar

**Experience and Knowledge**:
**Two to four years planning experience including**:

- Strong data analytics and reporting understanding and interest
- Public engagement, report writing, conflict resolution and presentation skills
- A professional expert witness to represent the City for Planning matters.

Valid G driver's license.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training Certificate from the Ministry of Labour

**Your compensation**:
This position is within Grade 10 of the CUPE Local 1882 Salary Schedule and has an annual salary range of $78,776 to $83,723 (2023 rates). We offer a comprehensive benefit package and are an Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) employer.

**Hours of work**:
The current regular hours of work are in accordance with the collective agreement, however currently are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. (35 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings as required.
