Under general direction of the Forestry Section Head (or Delegate) conduct the planning, coordination, administration, and
implementation of assigned contract and project management activities for vegetation management maintenance programming and
construction projects and initiatives.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Provide expertise in procurement and contract management. Lead the development of the contract scope, procurement

documents, including appropriate technical, safety, environmental, and quality specifications, while organizing the project
team for the execution of the project/contract (as required), tender evaluation, award recommendations, and issuing of
purchase orders all in compliance with Corporate policies.
- Responsible for development, management, and close out processes of construction, service, and consulting contracts to

support the requirements of the section.
- Responsible to develop and administer project management practices and techniques in the planning, scheduling, monitoring,

and implementation of vegetation management programming, construction projects, and procurement requirements.
- Regularly liaise with Supply Chain Management and other departments throughout the enterprise on contract requirements,

strategies, communicate contract awards, and engagement procedures.
- Ensure the procurement strategies that align contracts meet the Business Unit requirements and appropriately manage the

contract risks.
- Engage and liaise with outside agencies, including contractors, to administer and ensure compliance with construction

projects and maintenance services programming; drawings, tender specifications, environmental licences, and construction
permits.
- Work in conjunction with field coordinators and supervisors, contractors, and consultants with respect to construction

administration requirements as it pertains to contractual obligations such as quality assurance, change management,
schedule and performance monitoring, quantity tracking, payment processes and claims defense.
- Lead/coordinate contract start up meetings providing orientations, including development of contractor engagement

procedures, and communication plans.
- Coordinate the analysis and review of contract claims; participate in resolving any contractual matters, negotiations, or

disputes; consult and coordinate with the Law Department on contract legal matters as required; prepare recommendations
for settlement.
- Monitor Purchase Orders and process additional funds recommendations when required and assist in the development,

maintenance, and improvements of on-going administrative processes.
- Develop, recommend, and implement quality control processes for vegetation management programs and projects to evaluate

level of service and quality of product provided by contractors.
- Lead, organize, and collaborate with team on continuous improvement for execution of assigned projects and initiatives.
- Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of contract management systems for the division.

- A two-year diploma in Technology from an educational institution of recognized standing, plus completion of three accredited

courses in project management, courses in leadership, and a minimum of six years related experience.

- Certificate plus completion of four accredited courses in project management, courses in leadership, and a minimum of seven

- Contract development, administration, management, and monitoring experience is required.
- Project management experience is required.
- Proficient in and demonstrated ability to use project management tools, technology and databases such as Microsoft Office
