The David Suzuki Foundation is a Canadian environmental non-profit organization, founded in 1990. We operate in English and French, with offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. We are a Canadian settler organization striving to protect climate, nature and communities, respecting the rights and title of Indigenous Nations. We believe that Indigenous leadership is key to our collective future. We aim to work with many different peoples across Canada, including First Nations communities, all levels of governments and citizens who care for environmental justice, to find solutions to create a sustainable Canada. We use research, traditional ecological knowledge, innovative policy and legal environmental solutions, communications and public engagement.

**Position Title**: People, Culture, & Equity Generalist, East
**Department**: People, Culture, & Equity (PC&E)
**Terms**: Permanent, full-time (34 hours/week)
**Reporting**:Director, People & Culture
**Location**: Toronto or Montreal Office with hybrid schedule
**Salary**: $65,000 - $75,000
**About the role**:
This is a pivotal and hands-on role that provides essential support in People, Culture and Equity for our Eastern offices, working collaboratively with the Director, PC&E, PC&E Generalist, West, and PC&E Coordinator. The PC&E Generalist, East supports the operation of the daily functions of the PC&E department including but not limited to: recruitment, leave management, and enforcing organization policies and procedures, all in while fostering working relationships with all members of staff. Upholding our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, the PC&E Generalist, East plays a key role in ensuring that PC&E processes and initiatives promote an inclusive and anti-racist environment.
The role contributes to PC&E strategy and supports training initiatives with the Director. The PC&E Generalist, East also contributes to and leads specific processes in performance management and recruiting in conjunction with other team members. The PC&E generalist, East carries out and has input into DSF’s people initiatives and engages in building culture, providing great internal employee support, and driving PC&E excellence and process improvement.
