As an Associate Manager on the Product Team, you will be responsible for strengthening and growing your portfolio across Seasonal Bakery, Lunch, and Snacking. You will oversee day-to-day management of your product categories, inclusive of leading product strategy, portfolio management, and assortment planning.
- As an Associate Manager, product, you will:_
**_ Business, Customer & Competitive Focus:_**
- **Manage Your Categories P&L**: Understand the levers to drive revenue and profit while building business cases for initiatives to contribute to business planning activities
- ** Leverage Consumer Insights to Drive Growth**: Understand key competitors and industry trends/innovation while utilizing customer data to identify opportunities for growth
- ** Enable Portfolio Management & Forecasting**: Lead the sales forecasting process and contribute to inventory plans; interfaces with cross-functional teams to refine, communicate & implement these plans
**_ Insights to Product Strategy_**
- **Develop Insights & Reporting**: Understand customer mindset, behavior, and drivers and how they differ across channels, markets, and competitors; embraces variety of data sources to contribute to learning, reporting and insights briefs
- ** Build Product Strategy**: Shape strategic direction of sub-portfolio and evaluates/recommends tactics within a given strategy to Adapt/ Adopt/ Create within a Promo
- ** Brief XF Teams**: Create and present a product brief with support; build product concepts in partnership with the Product Development team
**_ Project Leadership_**
- **Champion Development & Commercialization**: Lead the innovation/renovation process and cross-functional teams required to bring the platform/program to market from concept to launch
- ** Manage Projects & Resources**: Lead projects cross-functionally and effectively problem-solves/tests new solutions
- ** Collaborate/Influence Others**: Understand key stakeholders’ priorities and provides feedback to guide project work with clear KPIs to a cross-functional team
- Building Relationships: Builds strong relationships with US counterparts and key cross-functional partners to help bring partners along.

- Robust business background and financial acumen, able to develop business cases with strong customer-centric focus backed up by data
- Working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, assortment planning and inventory management
- Strong project leadership & management skills; organized, high attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Naturally builds trust and respect amongst peer group; has experience working in a matrix environment and is a strong team player
- Ability to solve complex problems and take new perspective on existing solutions
- Proven ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands effectively
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
- Occasional local travel required for offsite meetings/tasting sessions will be required
**Summary of Experience**
- Progressive experience in product/category or brand management (2+ years) an asset.
- Passion and interest for Starbucks/Coffee/QSR industry
- Experience working within a global organization and localizing for the Canadian market preferred
**Basic Qualifications**
- 2 or more years of experience in a role supporting brand or category/product management or management consulting
- 1 or more year(s) of experience in a professional role managing a P&L preferred
- 1 or more years of experience in a role leading the development of new or existing products or strategies from conception to implementation preferred
