CARO Analytical Services is an employee-owned laboratory that provides environmental, cannabis and food testing services to public and private clients throughout Western Canada. As charismatic scientists driven to make the world safer and healthier, we recognize how critical our test data is to important environmental, public health and business decisions. We have an experienced, motivated and results orientated leadership team; have experienced considerable growth over the last 10 years, including adding new business lines and locations; and we are poised to continue this success. We currently have operations in Richmond, Burnaby, Kelowna, and Edmonton.
We are seeking an outstanding business-minded individual to manage corporate accounting services and help build the systems that will lead us into the future.

**CFO**
Reporting to the President at our Richmond head office, this role requires a capable and self-motivated individual to oversee internal and external financial reporting functions. This is a management position with the opportunity to contribute/develop to a strategic role that enhances existing practices and ultimately shares in the success and rewards of the organization.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Finance Management - **You are accountable for ensuring that the company’s financial operations are sound. Responsibilities include overseeing financial statement preparation; bookkeeping; budgeting; inventory management; banking and cash flow management; payroll/benefits administration; insurance oversight; year-end preparations.
- **Management Reporting** & Analysis - Demonstrated experience developing and implementing timely and effective management reports at both operational and corporate levels that allow management to monitor and enhance performance. You will employ technology to enhance and streamline reporting, and your findings and recommendations will help improve company effectiveness and efficiency.
- **Business Efficiency Improvements** - Leading and managing change with respect to establishing and executing accounting controls, automating processes, and implementing best practices.
- **Corporate Administration** - You are accountable for annual financial filings, insurance maintenance and renewals, reviewing expenditures, analyzing data, maintaining corporate documents, and fulfilling other managerial duties.
- **Team Supervision and Development **- Managing a team of accounting professionals.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- University or College degree/diploma in a related discipline.
- Having a professional accounting designation such as a CMA, CGA or CA is an asset.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of increasingly complex full cycle business accounting management experience.
- Knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- High achieving, ambitious, and results oriented.
- Proven leadership skills and attributes: Ability to motivate a team and delegate responsibilities.
- Strategic planning/thinking and implementation abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
