Overview of the Role

As a Chief Operations Officer at the Government of Canada - Western, you will play a critical leadership role in driving organizational success.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the allocation of resources, establishing major departments, and formulating policies and programs to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to support organizational objectives.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Negotiations: Represent the organization in negotiations or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization.
  • Talent Management: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff and create optimum working conditions.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance reviews to ensure high standards are met.
  • Financial and Administrative Controls: Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning.
