This course will provide students with opportunities to study and carry out research on contemporary public engagement policies and practice. A key part of the course content will involve attendance at several public engagement events occurring in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area.

**Class Schedule**:
Tues 18:00-21:00

**Sessional dates of appointment**: January 1, 2024 - April 30, 2024

**Estimate of the course enrolment**: Approximately 16 students per section

**Salary**:Sessional Lecturer I - $9,457.90; Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $9,930.79; Sessional Lecturer II - $10,121.77; Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $10,326.62; Sessional Lecturer III - $10,362.76; Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $10,570.02 (inclusive of vacation pay)

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

**Minimum Qualifications**:M.Arch with a MUD or MSc in Urban Planning degree and professional urban design experience preferred. We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching urban design and public art content at the graduate level and knowledge of contemporary urban design and public art practice - in local, national and international contexts.

**Description of Duties**: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations, and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions, and student contact hours.
