- **Are you an experienced category manager interested in new technology? This is a new role in Epiroc established to strengthen strategic sourcing related to our current and future products within electrification and batterification.**_

With the concentrated focus and drive to accelerate our electrification offerings within Mining & Construction ensuring our industries can move closer to Net-Zero targets faster in future, Epiroc is looking for a Global Category Manager based in Canada.

As Category Manager Electrification you will be part of a global team of experienced sourcing colleagues and at the same time work close together with engineering teams leading the technical development for Epiroc’s aftermarket products. The scope is global and involves a high degree of cross functional collaboration - both with colleagues in other functions as well as sourcing colleagues from other areas of Epiroc’s organization including acquired companies.

Electrification is a priority technology and a growing business for Epiroc. Critical for this role will be to develop the supplier base and mitigate risks while supporting the overall strategy and business growth plans.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Together with Parts & Services divisions (PSD) Marketing and Technical organizations continue to contribute to the success, by leveraging supplier competence and creating partnerships for innovation, customer value creation and new technical solutions
- Mapping, analysis and categorization of external spend
- Develop and execute category strategies for key categories within Electrification and Batterification in collaboration with other Category Managers and relevant stakeholders
- To have an extensive knowledge and understanding of the supply market for key sourcing categories including market trends and regulations
- Develop the supplier base by identification of new suppliers, evaluation of suppliers and supplier performance follow up and improvements
- Secure that your supplier base fulfils the corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of the Epiroc group.
- Ensuring secure and sustainable supply agreements with global strategic suppliers
- Safeguard good collaboration within PSD Sourcing and with key stakeholders such as PSD Engineering, PSD Marketing, capital divisions’ Sourcing and Supply Chain.
- Carry out traditional sourcing activities for the supplier base; handle RFQ processes, establish frame agreements, collect data and update system etc.

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 5 years documented experience of strategic sourcing
- Product knowledge and technical skills within electrification
- Stakeholder management (ideally in an international environment)
- Structured and process knowledge
- Goal oriented
- Problem solver

- Negotiation skills & business knowledge
- Legal & contract writing skills

**TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS**:

- Travelling within Canada and international will be required

**LOCATION**:

- Preferably Mississauga, Ontario however other locations will also be considered.
