**The Environmental Services department is **seeking an energetic self-motivated student interested in a career in the water industry**

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary School Diploma. An MECP Water License Class OIT in compliance with O. Reg #128/04 and/or Wastewater License Class OIT in compliance with O. Reg #129/04 would be considered an asset, or be willing to obtain.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
- Demonstrated knowledge of MECP water/wastewater regulations
- Working knowledge of safe laboratory practices, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Strong interpersonal communication and public relations skills

The summer work term will run from late April/early May ending in late August 2024. All summer student positions with North Perth have varying hours which may include weekdays, weeknights and weekends.** **Compensation for this position is $25.14 - $31.42 per hour and includes optional enrollment in the OMERS pension plan.
