JOB SUMMARY:

We currently have an opportunity for a reliable and conscientious individual to join our team as a 2nd Class Licensed Power Engineer at our Moorefield Location, reporting to the Power Plant department.

SCHEDULE : MONDAY TO FRIDAY ROTATING SHIFTS (DAYS, AFTERNOONS AND NIGHTS) OVERTIME IS AVAILABLE AFTER 40 HOURS

WE OFFER:

2nd Class $42.80 per hour
We offer shifts premiums for afternoons $1.00 and nights are $1.25
Uniforms provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all aspects including safe efficient operation and maintenance of a 1st class high pressure steam plant, compressor systems, and related equipment.
Provide leadership and direction to external contractors in corrective and preventative tasks to properly maintain utility operations within the facility as required.
Strong engagement in the Health and Safety culture within the facility.
Support the facility energy management and reduction program.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Must hold a current valid Ontario Second Class operating engineer's certificate.
Mechanical aptitude with above average troubleshooting skills.
Experience with boilers, cooling towers & other related equipment.
Maintenance of boilers, water, steam distribution system, economizers, RO, and compressed air system.
Must be reliable, punctual, team player, and self-motivated with the ability to work within supervision.
Willing to work overtime
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
