JOB SUMMARY:

We currently have an opportunity for a reliable and conscientious individual to join our team as a 2nd Class Licensed Power Engineer at our Moorefield Location, reporting to the Power Plant department.

SCHEDULE : MONDAY TO FRIDAY ROTATING SHIFTS (DAYS, AFTERNOONS AND NIGHTS) OVERTIME IS AVAILABLE AFTER 40 HOURS

WE OFFER:

  • 2nd Class $42.80 per hour
  • We offer shifts premiums for afternoons $1.00 and nights are $1.25

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects including safe efficient operation and maintenance of a 1st class high pressure steam plant, compressor systems, and related equipment.
  • Provide leadership and direction to external contractors in corrective and preventative tasks to properly maintain utility operations within the facility as required.
  • Strong engagement in the Health and Safety culture within the facility.
  • Support the facility energy management and reduction program.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Must hold a current valid Ontario Second Class operating engineer's certificate.
  • Mechanical aptitude with above average troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with boilers, cooling towers & other related equipment.
  • Maintenance of boilers, water, steam distribution system, economizers, RO, and compressed air system.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, team player, and self-motivated with the ability to work within supervision.
  • Willing to work overtime
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
