The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship is accountable for integrated water, land and natural resource management and cross-sector legislation, policy, and objective setting for land and marine environments.

This position supports the development and implementation of data analysis related to cumulative effects assessments in support of the Branch’s mandate for the Cumulative Effects Framework (CEF). This position provides expertise and guidance for the analysis of complex spatial and aspatial cumulative effects datasets including the development of new analytical approaches and protocols.

**Job Requirements**:
Degree or higher in Biology, Statistics or related AND a minimum of 2 years of related experience**, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.**Related experience includes the following:

- 2 or more years experience using ecological data to conduct complex quantitative analysis (preference may be given for experience working with BC-related datasets). 2 or more years experience working in collaborative, multi-party, working groups/settings on complex projects.Preference may be given to applicants who have training and/or experience with:

- Working with large spatial datasets in ArcGIS/QGIS/R and completing spatial analysis in vector and/or raster format.
- Statistical modeling and coding/scripting in R/RStudio and summarizing and graphically displaying results from large datasets.
- Working with and/or developing large databases.
- Working with BC forest and wildlife inventories and related datasets and systems, including the Vegetation Resource Inventory (VRI), and Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification (BEC). Developing and presenting findings, reports, and summaries verbally, in writing, and through online meetings.**About this Position**:
