Assessment accommodation

**Duties**:
Plan, implement and coordinate visitor experience programs for the park, historical site or marine conservation area to enhance visitor experience and encourage Canadians and international visitors to appreciate, learn about, enjoy and personally connect with the natural and cultural heritage places managed by Parks Canada.

**Work environment**:
Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and preservation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

**Intent of the process**:
Interviews for the opportunity in Montebello are scheduled to take place on March 21, 2023.

- EDUCATION *
- Diploma from an accredited college or university with a specialization in business administration, marketing, recreation, leisure studies, cultural resource conservation, museum studies, history, archaeology, tourism or other relevant discipline. An acceptable and relevant combination of education, training, experience or traditional knowledge relevant to the position OR graduation from post-secondary studies.

Degree equivalency
- EXPERIENCE *
- Experience in planning, developing, implementing and monitoring tourism programs, activities, operations, services or facilities.
- Experience in supervising staff and managing financial resources (at least 2 years)

- Required to wear Parks Canada Agency uniform and personal protective equipment/clothing as needed
- Sit during extended periods (50-75% of the day)
- Be exposed to variable weather conditions when moving between facilities and working outdoors
- Be exposed to stress when responding to fluctuating, unpredictable visitor demands and requirements
- Supervise staff directly
- Work shift work, and/or evenings and/or weekends and/or statutory holidays and/or provincial/territorial holidays.

**Conditions of employment**:

- Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license
