**Position Summary**:
WrapEd is a collaboration between the Edmonton John Howard Society, Edmonton Police Services, Multi-cultural Health Brokers, Native Counselling Services of Alberta, REACH Edmonton, and YOUCAN Youth Services. WrapEd works with youth ages 16-24. While in the program youth are connected with youth workers and/or a wraparound facilitator who can support the youth in making positive changes in all aspects of their lives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver ongoing services using a High Fidelity Wraparound, client-centered, strength-based approach consistent with program philosophy.
- Work with clients to develop safety plans and identify individual goals.
- Role model life skills, social skills, communication skills, self-advocacy, and conflict resolution
- Facilitate meetings with youth and their identified supports.
- Encourage youth to engage in healthy lifestyle alternatives.
- Provide referrals including addictions, housing options, education, day programs and other community resources as appropriate.
- Support youth through the Criminal Justice system.
- Obtain and maintain positive working relationships with community agencies

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Diploma in human services or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with high-risk youth
- Experience with High Fidelity Wraparound Model
- Experience in the following areas: client assessment, strength-based approach, interviewing skills, and Trauma-Informed Practices
- Strong knowledge of addictions, mental health, harm reduction, and community resources
- Knowledge of the Child Youth and Family Enhancement Act, and Youth Criminal Justice Act
- Professional within all aspects of employment and able to contribute to a strong team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-work volume program.
- General computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, $2 million liability insurance.
- Criminal Record Check, Enhanced Reliability, and Child Intervention Check.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- **This is a contract position with an immediate start date and will end on March 31, 2024.**_

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM and some flexibility is required. The office is located in the Transition Place Building at #101, 10010-105 Street. Program delivery is conducted in the Edmonton area, including but not limited to institutions, treatment centers, client residences, and other community settings.

**Salary**:
The salary range for this position is between $52,000 to $55,000 annually.
