**JOB SUMMARY**

As a member of the Finance team, you will be primarily responsible for matters regarding accounts payable and payroll. This position will work closely with the Corporate Controller to ensure that accounting databases are updated properly, and that month end is completed in a timely fashion.

This is a contract position for one year (May 2024 to May 2025) to cover maternity leave

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Accounts Payable**
- Process accounts payable for non-PO invoices
- Set up cheque run and electronic payments
- Vendor accounts set up and reconciliation.
- Advise management of cash requirements for vender payments
- Handle accounts payable calls
- Monthly HST reconciliation and remittance
- Post intercompany entries
- Reconcile GL accounts
- Reconcile credit card statements Canada, US, UK
- Employee expenses, verifying, posting and paying.
- Review and approve requisitions.

**Payroll**
- Prepare and submit payroll for US and UK through ADP
- Calculate and submit payments for 401K, pension, HSA and FSA
- Year end payroll and government reconciliations (ie. taxable benefits,P11D, etc)
- Reconcile salaries and benefits to payroll reports for annual financial audit for US and UK

**Other Duties**
- Other duties as required

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post secondary education in the field of business administration, major in accounting or equivalent experience

**DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES**
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to work Overtime
