Project and Operations Coordinator

Langley, Canada APS Precast Full time

APS is a manufacturer of architectural and structural precast concrete products. The strength of APS is in the experience and qualifications of its management and employees, its high technology plant, and superior quality control.

We are looking for an experienced **Project and Operation/Accounting Co-ordinator** with construction experience to plan and supervise and be accountable financially for a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.

The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding the budget.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with estimator, operations manager etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Assist in negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Assist in hiring contractors and other staff and allocating responsibilities
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed analytical, and strategic business reports
- Invoicing and billing tracking
- Manage finance inbox for invoices
- Manage invoice approval process to ensure all invoices are appropriately approved.
- Maintain clear and detailed records of financial transactions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies and provide. recommendations on potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with the monthly billings process by updating multiple projects.
- Ensure adherence to contracts, budgets, change orders, all health and safety standards and report issues

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven construction experience.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material project management principles, and contracts
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Project Coordinator and ACCPAC accounting: 3 years (preferred)
- construction related: 1 year (preferred)

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
