Starting Pay: $17/Hr

Service Technicians are expected to perform services such as but not limited to: window cleaning, gutter cleaning, sunroom cleaning and pressure washing services for residential and commercial clients within Regina, and surrounding areas, and may be required to travel for certain work (accommodations for overnight trips would be provided). This individual will be expected to complete services and tasks in a safe, timely and professional manner by working alongside a Crew Lead. They are expected to represent Boys Next Door Window Cleaning in the most positive way, as they are often the face the customers see day to day. Service Technicians are expected to follow all proper procedures and policies from morning procedures to end of day cleaning duties and everything in between. Servicemen will use/develop their customer service and communication skills by interacting with customers, as well as working as a team with the Crew Lead to ensure jobs are done safely, and up to the highest standards possible. They will report to and take instructions from their Crew Lead throughout the day, and if ultimately report to the Field Supervisor and/or Management.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and expectations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, and follow procedures and checklists in regard to loadout and responsibility of equipment.
- Suggest services, and nurture client relationships.
- Develop a plan of action and take direction from Crew Lead at every new job, to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Clean and service properties for services within our current offerings as well as less-frequent miscellaneous tasks such as solar panel cleaning, lightbulb installation, and high-access dusting.
- Working at heights, by safely using ladders, fall arrest equipment and possibly aerial work platforms; all while following our safety protocols.
- Ensure all equipment is managed and used properly
- Follow daily procedures and checklists to ensure proper usage, maintenance and efficiency of equipment and supplies.
- Ensure individual crew’s shop space is organized and maintained.
- Motivate, train and help new staff members feel comfortable in our work environment, as well as be willing and able to help out other crews when needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the crew leader, or supervisor.

Education &/or Work Experience Required:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Class 5 Driver’s License
- Customer service background is helpful.
- Ability to work independently and as a team to carry out assignments and duties within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to work under pressure and in a timely manner to meet deadlines; while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- General knowledge of how to use basic tools.
- How to drive a pickup truck, and pull a trailer.
- Can do attitude and willingness/enthusiasm to learn skills about life and business.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Must have ability and comfortableness with ladders, and to climb ladders at heights of about 20 - 40ft (employees will be trained with fall arrest and ladder safety, as well as slowly coached to higher ladders so that they are comfortable).
- Must be able to work in the heat or cold (up to +40 degrees celsius, or down to -20 degrees celsius).
- Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and be able to easily type on a smartphone keyboard.
- Must have the ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with Boys Next Door Window Cleaning, WCB, and other provincial, federal, and local standards.
- All positions include a 13 week probationary period.
- All Full-time employees agree that a full work week is 40-50 Hours per week, and any hours worked above 40 hours within a given week, will be paid at 1.5x their wage.
