THE TEAM

The mission of the Environmental Impact Sub-Department is to reduce Aritzia’s environmental footprint in line with planetary boundaries as we conserve, protect, and restore resources.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Environmental Impact team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for driving improvements and continuously enhancing the sustainability of our business practices and supply chain. You will play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of improved environmental performance to the business and external stakeholders while overseeing our suppliers’ sustainable manufacturing practices. THE ROLE

As the Director, Environmental Impact you will lead the team to:

- Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience.
- Define & deliver Aritzia’s sustainability and environmental impact ambitions
- Work with cross-functional partners to ensure that the components that make up our product are responsibly designed
- Ensure our product is responsibly made in partnership with our suppliers
- Ensure our operational practices across boutiques, offices, and distribution centres are responsible
- Manage the full range of activities performed by Aritzia that attribute to our Environmental Impact

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Director, Environmental Impact has:

- Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in environmental impact
- A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
- The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
- The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
- A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value
- A deep understanding and commitment for the industry in which we operate

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
