**You as a Nutrition and Foods Services Manager will**:

- Prepares budgets and monitors fiscal reports for Patient and Non-patient cost centers at both sites and takes corrective action as needed to bring budget back within available funding if negative variance exists.
- Responsible for daily functions and operations of Kitchens and Cafeteria on formulating plans for continuous quality improvement and keeping abreast of changes in technology, benchmarking staffing and/or productivity to other peer hospitals.
- Reviews and updates departmental procedures and policies and records in accordance with EllisDon Facility Services policies, and applicable industry codes and standards;
- Continuously investigating food items for changes in therapeutic diets, and high costs of some food items
- Prepares the schedule for the dietary supervisors
- Responsible for maintaining proper inventories and supplies of food and non-food products for both sites;
- Monitor, maintain and improve quality standards through audits, surveys, checks and inspections
- Implement, monitor and maintain staff occupational health and safety standards and legislative requirements
- Implement, maintain and evaluate food safety and sanitation standards

**Is this the right role for you?**
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible supervisory and leadership experience in Food Services preferably in an institutional or health care and long term care setting.
- College diploma in Food Service Management with knowledge of therapeutic diets essential.
- Current membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
- Demonstrated excellence in spoken and written communication and well developed leadership and interpersonal skills to supervise and coordinate the work activities of staff, to respond to inquiries and to prepare reports.
- Knowledge of Sanitation and Safety Codes, Health and Safety policies and procedures; and Knowledge of HACCP protocol.
- Experience in working with or demonstrated working knowledge of rethermalization and “Patient Focussed Dining” systems and requirements.
