**How the Accounts Payable Clerk Fits with Our Team**

The Accounts Payable Clerk will work closely with the Financial Controller. This position is part-time, 24 hours per week.

Fluency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is a must. Experience working with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Yardi Breeze Premiere/Yardi Voyager in an office transitioning to paperless accounting processes will make you stand out.

**SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES**
- Efficient and organized
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 is essential
- Quick with computers, able to navigate standard web interfaces and other programs with little oversight, and excellent troubleshooting ability
- Working knowledge of accounting software required with preference given to applicants with current Yardi experience (Breeze or Voyager).
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable
- Experience with intercompany transactions
- Critical date tracking
- Friendly with excellent verbal communication skills

**JOB DUTIES**
- Manage the accounts payable inbox, scan invoices and statements, and all supporting documentation
- Manage electronic accounting documents, which include invoices and receipt documentation
- Own the invoice approval process by coordinating with various departments to ensure all invoices are properly approved and paid on time
- Code invoices and employee expense reports to correct GL accounts in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage the creation and maintenance of vendor records
- Prepare payment runs, which include cheque and EFT
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies and provide recommendations on potential cost saving opportunities; and,
- Support other Finance team members with the month-end close and other ad-hoc projects.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ideally 2 + years previous experience in an Accounts Payable role, with preference given to applicants with experience across multiple types of prope, including commercial and residential
- High school diploma
- Post-Secondary exposure to business administration or accounting
- Experience in a technology-forward company will be considered an asset

**SCHEDULE**
- Office hours are M-F 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. You will work 3 days (24h) during office hours.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year
