**Brief Overview**:
Métis Nation-Saskatchewan is seeking a strong team player committed to the highest quality services. The Engagement Assistant is responsible for providing support in any way in implementing engagements as it pertains to the Citizen Engagement Department. These responsibilities include but are not limited to provide support relating citizen engagement, working with the different departments within the MN-S to develop and maintain positive and effective relations throughout Métis Nation - Saskatchewan as well as other parties as it relates to engagement topics.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist and implement the engagement projects as it pertains to the Citizen Engagement Department and the MN-S
- Provide support in all matters relating to the full citizen engagement project
- Provide confidence to engagement participants of a safe space for collaboration.
- Be advised of participants’ needs and requirements so they can effectively participate in engagement sessions.
- Develops and maintains positive and effective relations with stakeholders, elders and Métis Citizens
- Provide solutions-based recommendations to the team on engagements.
- Assist with performance planning, performance evaluation, and career development opportunities to build a high-functioning team focusing on results within the department.
- Exceptional oral and written communications.
- Maintain a positive role in all dealings with stakeholders and MN-S citizens.
- Identify opportunities, build partnerships, and retain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in alignment with strategic vision and goals.
- Ensure clear communication, engagement, and a collaborative approach with all engagements.
- Assist in collecting feedback and information on the programs and services provided.
- Assist in the implementation, supervision and evaluation of all citizen engagements.
- Assist to provide a structure for citizen and community engagement to meet their goals.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Note taking skills.
- Knowledge of accounting, data, and administrative practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum 1- 3 years experience in a similar level position.
- Recognized course in administration / customer service or related studies.
- Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint.

**Additional requirements**:

- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access reliable transportation
- Must be available to work some weekends and evenings
- Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$53,779.00 per year
