Head Pastry Chef

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, including cookies, cakes, tarts, breads, etc.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, sweeping floors, cleaning up leftovers etc.
- Work with a team to create delicious pastries that meet customer requests
- Produce food-safe and environmentally friendly products
- Follow recipes precisely to create pastries that are both artistic and tasty
- Work with other pastry chefs to develop new recipes
- Perform daily cleaning duties such as mopping floors, wiping tables etc.
- Work with other departments to keep kitchens running smoothly
- Communicate effectively with managers about daily production needs
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in an office or retail environment. Pastry experience includes making cakes, cookies, tarts etc. And or experience in commercial pastry shops.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
- Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in accepting or delegating tasks is required.
**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Montréal, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Baking: 1 year (preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (preferred)
Work Location: In person
