Join our cutting-edge endoscopy center, the Ottawa Gastrointestinal Institute as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Are you ready to be a vital part of our dynamic and innovative medical team? We are seeking passionate, self-motivated individuals who will play a critical role in ensuring that all equipment is maintained & processed following specific standards & protocols. We are a large clinic located in the east end of Ottawa. We are open 7 days a week to be able to provide timely access to endoscopy procedures in the region.

- Cleaning & reprocessing of a variety of endoscopes & accessories
- Operation of reprocessing equipment, utilizing proper operation procedures in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended guidelines for use, including loading & unloading techniques
- Monitoring of reprocessing units to ensure they are performing at optimal levels
- Performance of routine checks on reprocessing equipment & high level disinfecting agents; interprets & records results & reports problems to team lead or manager
- Oversees the care, handling & maintenance of endoscopic equipment
- Inspects endoscopes & equipment for damage & reports to team Lead or manager
- Troubleshoots basic technical problems with endoscopes & equipment & prepares equipment for servicing as required
- Documents & tracks endoscope repairs and communicate to team lead or manager
- Maintenance & stocking of equipment, instruments & supplies. Stores equipment, instruments & supplies to maintain the SPD department in a neat & orderly fashion
- Notifies team lead or manager of low supplies
- Precise cleaning & disinfection of SPD department
- Complies with all established departmental policies & procedures, including health & safety regulations & requirements

** 1 year commitment to the role**

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Medical Device Reprocessing Diploma from reputable school with in-person clinical experience

**Starting salary: $20.50 hour** with room for growth. This position comes with additional compensation for weekend shifts.
