CUPE23 $24.76/hr $26.61/hr**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintaining high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspecting, wrapping and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment for Surgical services and all other direct patient care user groups.
- This includes working in conjuction with the OR staff to provide timely sterile products, trays and case carts where applicable.
- Maintaining consistency and continuous workflow between the OR, the direct patient care user groups and CSR while practicing above-average customer service.
- Demontrate QCH values: collaboration, accountablity, innovation and respect

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12 edcuation
- Medical Device Reprocessing Certificate from an accredited college or Certificate from CSA Group
- Ability to operate computer
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good oral and written communcation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**PREFERRED**:
- Proven knowledge of "OR" instrumentation and sterilization processes an asset
- Knowlege of inventory control, distribution functions, and case cart systems an asset
- Central Services Association of Ontario Membership
- 1 year experience in a healthcare setting
