Transportation Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Transportation Supervisor to join our Transportation team at our warehouse in Edmonton, Alberta (TCL).
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Outbound Transportation, you will be responsible for the support of the Pattison Food Group Ltd. (PFG) transportation services out of our Edmonton Warehouse (TCL) and will provide direct oversight of fleet and carriers while collaborating on initiatives to support retail, B2B and other PFG partners.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the Save-On-Foods (SOF) Fleet requirements for the distribution network including supply requirements, acquisition, licensing and insurance, and repair & maintenance of fleet.- Evaluating network and logístical change requirements to support strategic and tactical plans for new store onboarding and network development.- Working with internal and external business partners to assist in resolving various carrier, vendor, purchasing and warehousing daily challenges.- Supporting the maintenance and preparation of KPI’s and reports.- Providing support to the inbound transportation team.- Supporting the outbound load planning team in carrier management, as well as fleet and service requirements.- Occasionally coordinating with other business units to provide Logistics support related to new initiatives, ad-hoc needs, and promotions- Processing freight claims, assisting on store billing issues, and preparing carrier payables for processing.
You have:
- An understanding of carrier operations, network service, along with an above average understanding of commercial fleet operations and equipment needs.- Supply Chain Management experience, preferably in a retail environment.- Fleet management experience.- Experience with Profit & Loss statements (P&L) is an asset.- An understanding of transport and fleet related KPI’s.- Knowledge of Canadian Geography.- Experience and/or education in logistics, operations, or supply chain.-
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
