- Successful completion of post-secondary degree or diploma and/or equivalent related work experience in Fundraising, Event Management, Business Development, or Sponsorship.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience and demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Proven ability to implement successful event strategies, preferably in the charity sector.
- Proven track record for developing strong and high-performing relationships.
- Possesses a solid understanding of sponsor/partner acquisition strategies, and is experienced in identifying and cultivating partnership opportunities.
- Excellent project management skills, inclusive of effective monitoring, analysis and delivery of measurable results

- Events & Donor Relations Officer

Functions/Duties: (not in priority order or percentage of time)
- Responsible for the planning, implementation, execution, and evaluation of all Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation events to meet and exceed event revenue goals.
- Work in collaboration with Manager of Finance to develop detailed budgets, monitor and approve all budgeted expenditures; and develop event critical paths.
- Work with Manager of Development and Events & Donor Relations Officer to develop a strategy that will effectively promote new and innovative event concepts that are appealing and engaging to our community, and inspire investment in Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for cultivating mid and large size sponsorship and corporate partnership opportunities that meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Develop and implement a partner stewardship strategy to ensure a high level of retention.
- In collaboration with the Events & Donor Relations Officer, oversees the organization of all third party events with a focus on maximizing revenue, building Foundation profile, and enhancing Foundation relationships in the community.
- Manages third party requests and acts as a resource for third party events providing information, promotional material, and support.
- Leads the development of relevant processes, procedures, templates in order to maximize efficiencies and deliver results for all signature and community events.
- Creates clear responsibilities and measurable goals for the Events & Donor Relations Officer.
- Other duties as assigned.

Volunteer Relationships:

- Recruit, lead, and effectively engage volunteers for signature event committee roles.
- Working collaboratively with the Events & Donor Relations Officer, develop the framework for volunteer event committee positions, and manage committee members to ensure the successful execution of signature event deliverables.
- Effectively engage corporate partners for volunteer opportunities as part of their staff engagement strategies to align with partnership agreements.

Administration and Teamwork:

- Be a positive role model for Foundation team.
- Input event actions into Raiser's Edge in order to report on progress toward achieving goals and objectives.
- In collaboration with Marketing & Communications Officer, develops highly engaging sponsorship and partnership proposals and packages.
- Assist in the development of goals and strategies for the Foundation.

Other Responsibilities:

- Act as an Ambassador throughout the Community, positively representing the Hospital and the Foundation.
- Work as a team player promoting a positive and professional work environment and conduct role with integrity and respect.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time in order to meet the overall goals and objectives of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
