The Clinical Skills Learning Program (CSLP) is an educational department at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. The CSLP team works with faculty to design, coordinate and deliver curricular events that engage simulation, typically with Simulated Patients (SPs), as the primary means of fulfilling event learning objectives. An SP is a person who has been carefully coached and trained to portray, in a consistent and believable manner, the historical, physical, and emotional features of a person other than themselves for the purpose of the simulation event.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager of the Clinical Skills Learning Program, this position provides Simulated Patient coordination and training for the CSLP’s support of the undergraduate and postgraduate medicine and dentistry curriculums as well as a number of external clients. This position also provides administrative and training support for the Medical Council of Canada’s Licensing examinations, the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada’s Licensing examinations, as well as general support for the management and administration of the Clinical Skills Learning Program. In the role of Program Coordinator (PC) for the Clinical Skills Learning Program, the role will work with a "team first" philosophy, sharing and collaborating with staff throughout the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. The PC will be involved in all training activities of the program as described and be included in the planning and administration of all educational programs and evaluations which are the responsibility of the Clinical Skills Program office.

**Qualifications**:

- Education:
- 3 year University Degree in a relevant program

**Experience**:
- 4 years of experience coordinating large projects in an Adult Education or Experiential Learning environment
- Experience providing directed, communication skills feedback
- Experience working with Simulated Patients preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain and organized and effective personal work environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
- Well-developed presentation and public speaking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach large and small groups of adult learners as well as support internal/external clients
- Demonstrated ability to manage session/workshop planning
- Sensitivity to cross-cultural differences and norms
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative and follow through on work assignments
- Demonstrated flexibility; able to work evenings and weekends as needed
