**The Bread and Butter of the Position**:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results. The Production Line Manager will ensure that the production demands of artisan products are met each day by managing the human and equipment resources of the line effectively. He/she will help lead the artisan team of staff, forecast future staffing and equipment needs of the line to meets Portofino’s quality standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, our **Production Supervisor is responsible for**:

- Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
- Enforces company policies and guidelines
- Trains employees
- Assists workers by offering personal growth opportunities
- Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
- Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
- Contacts appropriate sources for repair issues
- Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
- Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
- Creates and maintains professional schedules
- Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed to complete daily tasks
- Evaluates the condition of production equipment
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
- Compiles and analyzes production records
- Conducts performance reviews
- Other duties assigned

**Shifts and availability**:

- 8-hour shifts.
- Responsible for 7day/week operation
- This is a full-time permanent position

**The Ingredients You Bring to the Table**:

- Minimum 2 years of Bakery or Food Production Facility experience.
- Excellent coaching and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of production planning processes
- Strategic planning skills
- Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
- Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve in pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated & goal oriented.
- Hep A Vaccination.
- Availability to operate a 7 day/week Production Line, including evenings and weekends.
- Physically able to be on feet for 8 hours a day and lift up to 50lbs regularly.
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised

**The Details You’ll Loave**:

- $60,000-$75,000 annual salary - depending on experience
- Guaranteed annual raises
