Bakery. Together, we are building better bakeries.

**The Bread and Butter of the Position**:
If you are a night owl, organized, detail oriented and love bread, our Evening Team Member position could be just what you are looking for in your next job. Our Evening Team Members perform a wide range of duties that involve the production and packaging of all Portofino Bakery products

Reporting to the Production Night Supervisor, our Night Production Team Members are responsible for:

- Following specified production lists
- Using the necessary equipment to mix, scale, shape, proof, and bake all products
- Assessing products and using thermometers to determine whether it is ready to be sliced and packaged
- Organizing products as per company protocol once the product has cooled.
- Performing a wide range of duties to ensure the packaging of all Portofino products
- Ensuring all products are sliced, packaged, labelled and dated accurately
- Operating the slicers and ensuring the required product is sliced to the appropriate thickness
- Reporting any errors or damages
- Ensuring the work area is properly stocked with the correct packaging materials and that management is aware of any low or out-of-stock products
- Putting away all loose packaging supplies and tools
- Washing and sanitizing all equipment, tools and workspaces
- Ensuring all equipment is turned off and stored for the next day
- Following and recording the cleaning and sanitation checklists
- Keeping product rotated and following FIFO standards (First in, First out)
- Other duties as assigned

**Shifts and availability**:

- 8-hour shifts.
- Shifts scheduled between 10:00pm, Sunday - 6:30am Thursday
- This is a full-time permanent position.

- Strong verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently, as well as in a group
- The ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- The ability to work in a clean, organized manner
- The ability to lift up to 50lbs
- A commitment to upholding company policies, compliance and quality standards
- A commitment to punctuality and reliability, reporting to work on time as scheduled
- A willingness to learn and grow
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is considered an asset
- Previous experience with HACCP is considered an asset
- Food Safe Level 1 is required

- $21.00/per hour + $4.00 night premium.
