- TD takes an enterprise approach to managing Insider Risk with responsibilities and controls owned and operated by Business Segments, Corporate and Oversight Functions across the organization. Insider Risk is managed through various programs, policies, training, tools, and technology that continue to evolve and adapt to the threat landscape. Insider Risk encompasses the risks posed by an employee, contractor, or trusted third party with legitimate access to TD.
- Enterprise Insider Risk Management's (EIRM) Insider Protect Program is a specialized team designed to increase employee awareness and help strengthen TD's ability to prevent, detect and respond to Insider Risk.
**Job Details**
- The Insider Risk Analyst works within the Insider Protect Program (IPP) and reports to the Senior Manager Enterprise Insider Risk.
- The Insider Risk Information Security Analyst will take on a key role in executing Program processes including but not limited to the ongoing assessment of potential risk indicators, data collection and aggregation, triage, investigation referral, event escalation, ongoing reporting, supporting activities, and contributing to the execution of the broader team's deliverables and strategies.
- This position will support required Program development, training and awareness, and remediation activities to strengthen TD's control environment to better prevent, detect, and respond to Insider risks. The Analyst's accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data to identify potential threats (including policy violations), develop baselines, and analyze trends received through a behavioral analytics tool, and other tools such as MS Excel, SAS, and Tableau, to influence security practices and operations.
- Prioritizing and triaging alerts and information to effectively execute incident response processes, which may include escalation to internal/external stakeholders for further review or investigation.
Being proactive in:
- Identifying and providing recommendations for improvements to security/process gaps to enhance the overall protection of information/assets, and recommending solutions and countermeasures resulting from insider threats
- Operating and maintaining the Insider Protect Program mailbox, triage incoming items and action received data and alerts.
- Understanding, identifying and responding to different techniques of data exfiltration, and having the capacity to quickly develop a knowledge of the insider risk landscape, including diverse types of adversaries, campaigns, and the motivations that drive them.
- Developing and maintaining key internal and external relationships to support the Program's mandate, goals, and objectives.
- identifying and providing recommendations for improvements to security/process gaps to enhance the overall protection of information/assets, and recommending solutions and countermeasures resulting from insider threats
- Operate and maintain the Insider Risk Management Program mailbox, triage incoming items and action received data and alerts
- Maintaining IPP Insider Risk related communication and training materials
- Remain current on relevant regulatory developments, industry trends and best practices with respect to overall Insider Risk Management
**Job Requirements**
- Undergraduate degree
- Relevant professional designations and/or certifications as required
- 7+ years relevant work experience in the banking or management consulting industry
- Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd Risk Line of Defense role.
**Additional Information**
- Knowledge and experience with data analytics tools and platforms including Splunk and User Behavioral Analytics products, and other contextual data to create automated log correlations to identify anomalous behavior, execute complex search language queries, alerts, dashboards, and reports
- Must be able to work effectively with large datasets and have experience in querying, joining, manipulating, summarizing, and visualizing datasets of several types of tools, including Tableau
- Self-driven, motivated to excel, ability to work with mínimal supervision, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced and, at times, high pressure environment
- Understanding of the bank’s project and program methodology
- Exercises excellent judgment and has personal integrity when handling sensitive/confidential information
