**Education and Experience**:
- 10 or more years of experience in a leadership position.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance is an asset.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation required.
- An MBA is an asset.
- Proven experience in reading complex financial reports.
- Proficiency in general computer skills (Word, Excel, Payroll).
- Knowledge of general and advanced farming procedures is an asset.
- Experience working in a factory setting is an asset.
**_ Salary_**
130,000 to 150,000 annually, and dependent on experience and education.
**Job Summary**
This role requires an individual who is humble, driven, and solution-oriented. The CFO will lead financial accountability throughout the organization by managing an excellent finance team focused on customer service and collaborative work across the organization.
**Role and Accountability**:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop financial plans aimed at increasing profits, reducing company expenses, and aligning them with business objectives.
- Partner with executives to monitor business performance using KPIs, cost control measures, and financial analysis.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans while coordinating the development of operating, capital, and program budgets for reporting purposes.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of customer service excellence, humility, drive, and solutions orientation.
- Assume responsibility for the performance of the finance team, setting and monitoring departmental objectives.
- Manage and oversee all financial affairs for the company, including cash management, insurance, budgeting, financial reporting, oversight of financial ERP systems, and financial accountability procedures like verifying purchases.
- Ensure compliance with IIROC policies and procedures, as well as national and local financial requirements by studying and acting upon existing and new legislation.
- Ensure cash flow alignment with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities.
- Develop and implement best practices and tools for effective fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
- Comply with all Schuyler Farms Limited policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, and numeracy.
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
- Exceptional ability to monitor, allocate, and control finances on a large scale.
- Capacity to present financial analysis and projections to company stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation, employment standards, and payroll accounting, with a working knowledge of employee benefit programs.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Excellent leadership skills, characterized by steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
