We are searching for a floral designer to work in our fast paced, busy flower shop. Responsibilities will include processing incoming fresh flowers and designing marketable modern bouquets and arrangements, assisting customers with any floral needs and/or concerns.

Our primary objective is to hire a long-term team member to become part of our flower family. We are looking to find an energetic, vibrant, and fun individual; with a creative eye, and passion for all things pretty. This position is a full time position.

Florist Responsibilities:

- Greeting customers in person and over the phone with a positive helpful attitude.
- Receiving and processing shipments, of plants and flowers.
- Advising clients on possible flower combinations.
- Providing occasion-specific flower suggestions.
- Carefully arranging creative bouquets and arrangements for purchase.
- Packaging clients' flowers to prevent breakages or weather damage.
- Coordinating flower deliveries.
- Cleaning and maintaining both the workspace and store front.
- Taking orders over the phone

Florist Requirements:

- High school diploma.
- 2-3 years experience as a florist
- Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques.
- Approachable, positive, patient, and forthcoming.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 30lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Great phone Etiquette
- Great computer skills
- Knowledge of social media an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
