**Department Overview**
- The Finance team for Canadian Credit Cards within Canadian Retail supports the development and achievement of financial and strategic objectives by providing value-added planning, forecasting and reporting and insightful analysis & advice to business leaders on financial and business matters.
- Key responsibilities of the team include:

- Planning, forecasting and management reporting in support of various credit card portfolios and analytics in support of business strategies and tactics
- Business case support and analytics
- Monitoring and reporting on expense management initiatives
- Assessing implications to Cards Plan/Forecast, identifying and escalating issues and ensuring that Cards Plan/Forecast is updated accordingly
- Integrating competitive and industry trends / issues to help facilitate strategy formulation
- Building and leveraging internal and external relationships to fulfill our mandate and support the Finance vision
- Reporting to the Associate Vice President Cards Finance, the Finance Manager leads a team of three professionals by providing financial analysis, decision support and reporting of Cards financial information. The manager supports the team in executing on the mandate of the group by providing relevant, accurate and timely reporting and analysis. The manager also adds value by recognizing opportunities for process improvements, possessing the analytical ability to read and understand financial information and being interested in continually improving the performance of the group.
- Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Lead the overall Cards forecasting/planning process including validation of assumptions, preparing decks, and working with all stakeholders to understand P&L drivers
- Lead the reporting and presentation of Flash and Monthly Operating Results (MOR) for Cards
- Provide decision support to senior management and the executive leadership team to help meet financial objectives
- Develop and manage strong relationships within finance and across multiple stakeholders including business unit leadership and broader functional groups at TD
- Identify and investigate key financial and accounting issues including timely follow up, escalation and resolution
- Working closely with business partners to provide transparency on allocated costs, ensuring appropriate allocation and variance explanation
- Provide thought leadership on decision support analysis on strategic initiatives
- Drive efficiencies to current processes and routines to better service the business and finance partners
- Promote and foster a positive & rewarding working environment that encourages innovation, creativity, teamwork and a strong focus on knowledge transfer and sharing best practices
- Participate fully as a key member of the Cards and Day to Day Finance teams, promote team effectiveness and contribute with key leadership insights to enhance the brand for Finance and Cards.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance
- 3-5 years relevant experience in credit cards business and/or experience in a financial reporting environment
- Customer-service focused with a desire to identify and satisfy customer
- Experience in a fast paced and continuously evolving management reporting environment and ability to keep key issues in focus
- Demonstrated interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen
- Strong understanding of financial accounting and control processes
- Experience evaluating business issues, identifying potential solutions and implementing action to resolve
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including active
team player and strong relationship-building skills
- Strong working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, MS Access and Oracle would be an asset.

Specific Education and accreditations:

- University/College education with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business
- Business and/or accounting designation or working towards designation (CPA/MBA/CFA) preferred
