Toronto, Canada LumiQ Full time

We’re LumiQ - an audio-first professional education platform for CPAs. We help CPAs get their continuing professional development (CPD) hours through engaging podcasts with business leaders (the CFOs of Slack, Shopify, Yelp, Yahoo, TD Bank, and Wealthsimple just to name a few). CPD/CPE is the yearly required learning that CPAs generally dread doing. They’re tired of dealing with boring webinars, irrelevant content and product experiences that are out-of-date. That’s why they’ve flocked to LumiQ and our mission to make professional learning enjoyable.

With 600+ companies signed up, and 300% YoY growth, we’re at the precipice of launching a global movement that’s going to massively change the professional education and podcasting industries. We’ve also recently expanded into the US market and we’re seeing wonderful early signs of traction.

LumiQ is experiencing rapid growth as you might expect from a startup at our stage, but we tend not to subscribe to the mantra of “move fast and break things.” Our goal is to build a profitable company where our employees can learn and grow, and where customers see real value and genuinely enjoy using the product. We are building a company meant to last, and if this resonates with you, we hope you will consider joining us on our journey to transform professional education

We are looking for a Finance & Economics Producer to help us disrupt the professional

education industry and create the world’s best CPD content

This is a unique opportunity to use your finance knowledge in a creative way, provide value to

the CPA community, and be part of a fast-paced growing company This role is a unique blend

of education, content creation, and finance knowledge. Reporting to the Director of Content

Operations, this role will be influential in creating an unrivalled library of finance and economics

podcasts. The Finance & Economics Producer will execute on the learning curriculum, find

appropriate guests for each topic, conduct research, interview guest experts, and ensure an

educational and enjoyable finished podcast. You’ll learn how to create a podcast from scratch,

from pre-production all the way to a polished finished product (don’t worry, prior production

experience is not necessary).

**What You’ll Be Responsible For**:

- Like any start up, you will be expected to wear many hats, but your main duties will revolve around finance and economics learning and content creation. As you progress in the role, your scope of duties and responsibilities will grow. In the beginning, your main responsibilities will include:
**Develop Content**:

- Research and pitch finance and economics topics for episodes
- Find, schedule, prep, and coordinate appropriate guests for each topic, with support from the Production Coordinator
- Create interview prep, including providing foundational research to support the interview
- Support the LumiQ host during interviews by keeping track of time, providing interesting follow-up questions, fact checking information, and monitoring for audio quality
- As you complete onboarding, you will work towards hosting your own episodes (don’t worry we will provide training) You should feel comfortable with the idea of being in front of a microphone.
- Review raw audio and make edits from a content perspective (prior audio editing experience not required), ensuring the content is engaging, concise, and achieves intended learning objectives
- Write copy for each episode. Because this is an educational podcast that is only available on our platform, this will Include: episode descriptions, quiz questions, speaker bio, glossary terms, visual aid, etc.

We are growing extremely fast
- and with that, comes the need to build and update our production processes to continue to work for our stage and size. This role will involve being open-minded to new ways of doing things, experimenting with new processes, and collaborating to improve team processes

**Who You Are**:

- ** Understanding of key finance and economic topics**:You feel confident in your ability to research key finance and economic concepts. A financial designation is NOT required.
- ** Highly Organized**:You excel in managing multiple tasks and projects, ensuring everything is tracked and completed efficiently.
- ** Proactive Problem Solver**:You anticipate issues before they arise and suggest effective solutions.
- ** Strong Collaborator**:You work effectively with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- ** Detail-Oriented**: You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring all content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.
- ** Adaptable and Open-Minded**: You are open to experimenting with new processes and continuously improving team workflows.
