**DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW**
**We're looking for a talented Personal Finance Journalist, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in broadcast and/or video production. As one of our in-house segment producers you will be researching, writing and producing personal finance interviews and feature segments for MoneyTalk and its family of online properties, including our weekly MoneyTalk newsmagazine show on the BNN Bloomberg network.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
**+ **Interview guests to identify segment topics, determine content direction and focus**
**+ **Write a high volume of compelling segment scripts (packs), with clear direction for anchors and hosts on topics related to personal finance and investing (including Wills and Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, Trusts, and more)**
**+ **Write and produce original scripts for non-hosted content, including explainers, ask-me-anything and documentary style client stories**

**+ **Peer-edit and review content for publication, ensuring content is accurate, clean and compliant**

**+ **Monitor personal finance industry sources and contribute regularly to MoneyTalk bi-monthly story meetings, offering fresh angles on news-driven personal finance topics**

**+ **Use content management tools (WordPress, Sprinklr) to manage publishing process and ensure content is presented with accuracy and appeal across each channe**
**+ **Manage and understand control guardrails in a regulated environment (legal)**

**+ **Collaborate with **editorial and production teams (design, videography, production) to build content quickly and beautifully
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
**+ 3 years experience in business or personal finance journalism, or similar digital or broadcast content creation**

**+ Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)**

**+ Depth and competency with social media storytelling formats (on current and emerging platforms)**

**+ Exceptional knowledge and interest in personal finance and investing**
