**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage and execute framing, formwork, and rough carpentry tasks in alignment with project specifications and timelines.
- Install doors, windows, hardware, and other fixtures with precision and attention to detail.
- Take accurate measurements and perform layout activities to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine required dimensions, materials, and processes.
- Plan and oversee work procedures, coordinating various construction phases to ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Lead and guide a team of carpenters and laborers, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality results.
- Monitor team performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently, adhering to project and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Adhere to and enforce Laurin’s Health & Safety Policy and all site-specific safety protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring team compliance with safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Safely handle, transport, and store construction materials and tools.
- Maintain an organized and tidy work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for and in good working condition.
- Report faulty tools or equipment promptly to supervisors for repairs or replacements.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of carpentry work, meeting or exceeding project specifications and standards.
- Inspect work in progress to identify and resolve deficiencies, maintaining quality control throughout the project.
- Address issues or delays proactively to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Estimate material requirements and coordinate the procurement of supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and progress for project reporting.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the carpentry team, ensuring smooth coordination with other trades and project managers.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, enhancing skill development and performance.
- Proven experience in carpentry, with a focus on framing, formwork, and rough carpentry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
