As Create. continues to evolve and grow, we are looking for a Carpenter to join our team Are you a “Jack or Jill-of-all-trades” that loves to tackle rewarding projects? Do you enjoy creating lasting relationships? If you have a carry bag with all sorts of hand tools and a keyring on a lanyard, then this role may be perfect for you
The Carpenter will be responsible for creating first and final impressions with our clients and have the opportunity to “make it right”
**Day-to-day responsibilities may include (but not limited to)**:
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. metals, fiberglass) according to measurements and use for install as per plans and directed
- Rough Framing as required (ie formwork)
- Finish carpentry as required (ie. build window frames, door and hardware install, staircases, etc)
- Misc finishing as required (ie. floorings, roofings, drywalls, paint, etc) ensuring a high level of quality and to industry standards
- Assemble and install of doors, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures
- Misc scopes as assigned (ie. digging, cleanup after work completes, etc)
- Safety paperwork and inspections as assigned
- Loading and unloading materials by hand or using a forklift or telehandler

- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of four years’ experience as a journey-level carpenter (or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required (pr equivalent)
- Certification and experience using a forklift & telehandler
