Job Summary
This position offers a competitive salary of $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. As a Lead Carpenter, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and coordinate the activities of carpentry teams, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Plan, organize, and direct the work of carpentry teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of 3-4 carpenters, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Credential Management: Verify and maintain the necessary certifications and qualifications for the team, including Working at Heights Training, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, CPR Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Carpenter Red Seal Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, and CSTS Certificate.
- Travel and Transportation: Willingness to travel to project sites as required, with a valid driver's license.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Ensure that all team members have access to the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a carpenter or in a supervisory role.
- Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of carpenters.
