**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The key responsibilities of the Seamstress include but are not limited to:

- Maintains professional internal/external guest service and ensure the smooth operation of the uniform related functions.
- Operating the following machines on a daily basis: sewing, single needle sewing, embroidery, thread serger and blind hemmer machines
- Fits, alters and repairs all staff uniforms
- Fits, alters and repairs guest items upon request
- Generates purchase orders for uniform purchase and conduct uniform inventory as required
- Manages assignment of uniforms to new staff and reports damaged or lost uniforms to Housekeeping management
- Manages lost/missing uniform inquiries
- Manufactures uniforms and specialty items as needed (For example, laundry/hair dryer bags, hotel cart bags, pillow cases, baby bedding, etc.)
- Repairs all hotel linens as required (For example, bed pads, drapes, mattress, etc.)
- Purchases miscellaneous sewing accessories, maintains sewing supplies
- Maintains all seamstress machines in good working order
- Handling and hanging all clean uniforms in housekeeping office. Assist in uniform related requests when needed such as minor uniform repair, lost uniform inquires, etc.
- Maintains a safe working environment in all sections of the Housekeeping department; Reports maintenance and housekeeping problems to department Managers
- Performs other related duties as required

**Physical Demands**

Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items, along with movements such as bending, stooping and kneeling when required. In addition will be required to stand on feet and/or walk for long periods

- ** Previous seamstress experience required**:

- Sews all items at a superior quality level
- Completes special projects in addition to normal duties
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively all daily duties
- Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude toward guests, clients, and other associates
- Self-motivated and able to complete responsibilities in a timely manner with little or no supervision
- Must be extremely well-organized and detail-oriented
- Maintain professional business confidentiality as required
