Located on the brink of one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, the Marriott on the Falls is a 404-guestroom full service hotel, minutes away from area attractions, world-class wineries, golf and casinos. The Marriott on the Falls also offers sumptuous dining options at its on-site Milestones Fallsview Restaurant along with 23 private function rooms and boardrooms totaling over 40,000 square feet of meeting space including our 8400 sq. ft. Oakes Grand Ballroom with an additional 2700 sq. ft. foyer. Whether our guests are traveling on business or taking a much needed vacation, our mission is to always exceed the expectations of our guests.
At Marriott on the Falls, our operations thrive with the commitment of Associates who demonstrate and support the Marriott core values and culture of _putting people first, acting with integrity, serving our world, embracing change, and pursuing excellence._ We are currently looking for a Guest Service Agent in our Front Office Operations. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, this position is responsible for performing a variety of activities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Front Office. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival by consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Checking
- in and checking-out guests according to Marriott standards.
- Verifying reservation, address, and credit card information.
- Must be knowledgeable about guest rooms, locations, amenities, room rates, room packages, discounts and hotel.
- Accepting payment for all guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout.
- Responding to guest inquires in a timely and accurate manner.
- Contributing to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm professional service.
- Handling guest complaints and comments in a professional manner and providing resolution.
- Pre-arrival duties including blocking rooms with respect to special requests, loyalty member guests and large room types.
- Clear and concise pass-on communication with all associates coming on to the next shifts.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and standards, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Participating in daily standup meetings.
- Demonstrating appropriate Marriott service behaviours.
- Any other duties as assigned.
**Job Requirements**:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with guests both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated professional telephone manners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team setting.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility.
- Must provide a high standard of customer service.
- Attention to detail.
- Previous Front Desk experience an asset
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
- Well organized and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work evening and day shifts including weekends and holidays.
