**Infrastructure Project Coordinator**

**Summary**

Reporting directly to the Facilities Director, a Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of construction projects. The Project Coordinator assists the Facilities Director in project administration and some field work, communicate with site leaders, consulting engineers, contractors, city and insurance. Other major tasks include contract time, completion cost and general overall project performance.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Control and schedule all the PMs and backflow tests and communicate with the City regarding the waste water management
- Acquiring and filing all necessary permits, approvals and notices, as might be necessary, to successfully implement the work plan
- Work closely under the guidance and direction of facilities Director to learn FGF construction methods and contract administration systems
- Monitor work on site, to ensure compliance with FGF standards, design procedures, contract specifications and building codes
- Assist Facilities Director in the day to day duties of contract administration
- Coordinate with contractors in requesting and following up on quotes and pricing
- Assist Project Manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date logs (Drawings, work orders, invoices, Purchase Orders, etc.), track responses and keep Facilities Director up to date of the status
- Undertaking the necessary negotiations to ensure that the required materials and services are procured at the best possible price and within budget where possible. The project Coordinator will report all instances where reported costs grossly exceed the estimates
- Assist in creating and updating all the communication with the Insurance company and schedule their visits
- Perform analysis of engineer/contractor change requests to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications
- Attend internal coordination and project meetings as required
- Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by Facilities Director or Senior Management
- Managing the SAP system and keep all the work orders up to date

**Required Experience / Required Ingredients**:

- Minimum 5 years’ of experience in facilities project coordinating
- Valid Ontario G driver license with access to a vehicle
- Construction Management Degree with Civil Construction experience is an asset
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Strong communication negotiation skills
- Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines and work under strict time constraints
- Be self-motivated and driven
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
