Back of House Supervisor

What You’ll Do: Reporting to the Kitchen Manager or Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will:

- Participate actively during operations to coordinate food production, working line stations and expediting as needed.
- Assist with the management of food costs - conduct physical counts of food inventory, calculate costs, develop action plans and complete management reports within reporting schedules and timelines.
- Assist the KM to establish par levels for food and other kitchen supplies, order products and manage inventory levels and costs.
- Help the KM establish daily prep levels to ensure all menu items are always available while ensuring product freshness, portion control, proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Assist with managing kitchen labour costs on a daily/weekly basis - develop weekly labour forecasts, prepare kitchen team schedules and maintain sufficient team levels to meet customer demand.
- Help with the training and development of line cooks / BOH staff. - Conduct thorough opening and closing checks of the kitchen to ensure that operational standards and food safety standards are met.
- Monitor food safety and food handling activities on an ongoing basis, ensuring standards are always excellent and appropriate.
- Work each shift with a safety mindset. Be proactive in regard to front-of-house and back-of-house safety (food safety, potential hazards for employees or guests). - Live our core value: Taking Care of People.

- You have experience as a kitchen supervisor in a fast-paced restaurant environment Plus, you have the right attitude and are considerate towards people. - Stressful moments don’t get you down. You smoothly sail through adversity, create a positive employee experience and build your team’s morale.
- You have extensive knowledge regarding food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Time management and task prioritization come easily to you.
- You are solution-focused and resourceful - you think on your feet effectively to find resolutions for any situation
- Guests and quality service are always at the top of your priority list.
- Safety first: you are able to repetitively lift items weighted similar to a bag of potatoes.
- Standing for long periods of time is easy for you.
- You’re open to growth and might have future aspirations for employment in store management or Operations Management

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour
