**Coordinator, Pet Therapy Program - Patient Experience**

**What you’ll do**
- Promotion of pet therapy events
- Execution of Pet Therapy events including related communication and promotion
- Ongoing support of pet therapy teams including onboarding support
- Assist in any needed promotion for ongoing recruitment of teams.
- Collaborate with Coordinator, Volunteer Resources assigned to Pet Therapy recruitment.
- Manage all aspects of the certification
- partnerships and related events.
- Collaborate on related Pet Therapy Research and support research design and execution with partners.
- Continue to grow the Pet Therapy services for staff/providers and patients and families.
- Provide data and impact reporting.
- Build on pet therapy team relationships for retention and growth purposes.
- Liaise routinely with CW Patient Experience director for alignment, funding and budgetary efforts.
**What you bring**
**Qualifications**:
- Two (2) years of related experience including at least one (1) year of experience supervising volunteers in a health care setting.
You will also have the ability to:
- Work both independently and collaboratively.
- Resolve administrative issues/problems.
- Prioritize workload and be flexible to meet and adapt to changes in organizational priorities.
- Exercise sound judgment.
- Plan and organize.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, including the ability to respond diplomatically to both internal and external inquiries.
- Supervise and provide guidance and direction to others.
- Interact with a variety of people and personalities and provide motivation and encouragement to volunteers.
- Take initiative and work with mínimal supervision.
- Physically perform the duties of the job.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
