You’re passionate for safety and innovation and excel when utilizing your strategic-thinking and organization to drive complex business units. As a confident and charismatic communicator, you can build strong relationships with a vast network of partners and stakeholders and promote collaboration as you execute corporate objectives, especially those focused on emissions reductions and sustainability. Your unique skillset will help you to thrive in our Manager, Fleet Services role.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing leadership and establishing effective performance and maintenance strategies for all fleet assets throughout our FortisBC locations. In this role, you will:
Become familiar with the company sustainability strategy as it pertains to the Fleet Department and champion continuous improvements including reducing our GHG emissions through technology, programs and driver behaviour.
Establish and strengthen relationships with peers, direct reports and internal and external stakeholders, customers and contractors.
Champion and promote the importance of safety and the reduction of our carbon footprint.
Familiarize yourself with the inner workings, processes and systems within our departments, including contractual agreements and corporate policies and procedures.
Participate on the Road Safety Steering Committee, the Fortis Operating Group - Fleet sub-committee, and in relevant regulatory and internal budgeting processes. What it takes:
A bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline from a recognized program with 8-12 years of relevant experience in a leadership position or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
An Automotive Fleet Manager Certification or Asset Management experience is considered an asset.
Proven finance experience with the ability to create and monitor fleet operations and maintenance and capital budgets and forecasts alongside careful analysis and benchmarking within the industry and current and future market conditions.
Excellent business management skills to build collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders that impact fleet operations, stay current with regulatory requirements, and drive corporate strategy as it pertains to the Fleet Department.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross functionally with all departments and integral key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Great innovative thinking skills to identify and manage new technology, telematics usage, sustainability, logistics, and safety to keep corporate objectives moving forward.
