Reporting to the President, the Marketing Manager is responsible for successfully promoting the Iron Will Raw (IWR) brand through the development and execution of strategic marketing campaigns and initiatives aimed at generating product demand, increasing customer reach, growing brand awareness, and driving sales. The job incumbent must effectively manage the workflow and performance of all marketing staff, including recruitment, selection, training, development, coaching and counselling.

As a strategic partner, the Marketing Manager is responsible for cross-functional collaboration and external coordination to ensure branding and marketing activities are integrative and responsive to the objectives and desired outcomes of IWR. Key to this role is efficiently using market research, analysis, and innovative marketing channels to optimize marketing strategies, manage brand positioning, engage consumers, and ensure deliverables are on time and on budget.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Strategic Planning & Coordination_
- Develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns that are aligned with the values and objectives of IWR by successfully promoting the brand, generating product demand and driving sales.
- Efficiently communicate and coordinate marketing strategies and best practices with various departments (i.e. sales, production, finance, etc.). to produce valuable and engaging content
- Prepare, monitor and manage marketing budget and expenses, ensuring proper allocation of funds.
- Support the sales team by designing effective marketing tools and educational materials that can be used to engage all stakeholders
- Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry contacts, agencies and vendors to execute product rollouts and ensure deadlines are met.
- Leadership & Employee Management_
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, scheduling and workflow of the marketing team.
- Design and implement policies and training programs focused on building knowledgeable employees.
- Manage employee performance by establishing and communicating key performance indicators and conducting performance reviews.
- Oversee and approve content creation, copywriting and execution, and all other marketing materials (i.e. website banners, hard copy brochures, case studies, etc.)
- Effectively inspire, motivate, coach and support staff, always leading by example.
- Marketing, Brand Management & Innovation_
- Assess and optimize marketing and pricing strategies aimed at growing brand awareness, honing-in on key customer demographics, and increasing market share.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behaviour; prepare realistic forecasts.
- Actively generate leads, optimize lead nurturing, and successfully convert leads into loyal customers.
- Experiment with a variety of organic and paid customer acquisition channels
- Manage, track and evaluate the performance metrics of marketing campaigns against established goals.
- Oversee social media platforms and promote positive public relations.
- Implement search engine optimization (SEO) in online media.
- Manage the ambassador program and promote the brand industry events; report on ROIs.
- Ensure that advertising and messaging is consistent across the business and accurately conforms to branding guidelines, legal requirements and organizational standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least five (5) years’ experience working as a marketing manager, or in a similar leadership role responsible for leading the design and execution of marketing strategies, required.
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Admin., or a related field, required.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of marketing strategies, software, channels and branding, required.
- Established portfolio and proven record of successful marketing initiatives, preferred.
- Strong knowledge and/or experience working in the pet food industry, an asset.

**KEY CANDIDATE COMPETENCIES**
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate and build working relationships, internally and externally.
- Competent in strategically utilizing CRM software (i.e. Hubspot).
- Ability to effectively lead a team of employees, motivate desired behaviours and manage performance.
