**Role Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual with a strong focus on supply chain and logistics to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of supply chain policies and procedures with the goal of assuring stock supply while seeking to reduce costs. The specific duties include maintaining adequate inventory, improving efficiencies in supply chain processes, and creating performance reports for management.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
- Create and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all procurement transactions.
- Track and follow up on the status of purchase orders.
- Monitor and analyze cost of goods, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure that procurement activities adhere to budgetary constraints.
- Implement strategies to optimize stock levels and improve inventory turnover rates.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate the transportation and distribution of goods to optimize efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Implement best practices in routing and scheduling for cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Implement strategies to reduce transportation costs and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes.
- Ensure compliance in product management portals including, but not limited to GS1, 1WorldSync, WERCS, IX-One, FoodLogiQ, etc.
- Assisting with customer listing forms and portals, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics and supply chain performance, providing insights and recommendations.
- Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as assigned and needed.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain and inventory management.
- Thorough knowledge of logistics and customs.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and analyze data for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to address operational concerns while monitoring overall customer satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak and write English efficiently and effectively.
This is a full time position with the option of working 2 days a week from home.
**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
