Head Cook

The Head Cook is accountable for: Human Resources Management, Quality Control, Planning and Monitoring, Inventory Management and Meal planning, preparation and serving meals and cleanliness of the food service area. This position entails a high level of interaction with seniors, requires physical endurance. Supervises the Cooks and Kitchen Aide positions.
**Responsibilities**:
Staff supervision
Ensure all staff training requirements are met
Conduct performance appraisals with the Lodge Manager
Assist in recruitment and selection with the Lodge Manager
Ensure staff fulfill positional areas of accountability
Ensure safe work practices and procedures are adhered to
Ensure all policies are adhered to
Ensure Lodge standards are adhered to
Organize all shift requirements for all staff (Kitchen, Evening and Night)
Prepare Menus and ensure standardized recipes are in place and meet established criteria
**Salary**: From $23.47 per hour

**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (preferred)
