Long Point Biosphere is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of the Long Point region's unique ecosystems and biodiversity. We work to engage our community and raise awareness about environmental stewardship through research, education, and outreach initiatives.
**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Create and manage content for the organization's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase our online presence and reach a wider audience.
- Create engaging posts, respond to comments and messages, and monitor social media accounts to ensure brand consistency and positive online reputation.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to develop social media campaigns that align with the organization's goals and mission.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to identify opportunities for growth and engagement.
**Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant post-secondary program (e.g., communications, marketing, digital media, etc.).
- Strong writing and communication skills, with a creative flair for content creation.
- Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands.
- Knowledge of social media trends and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for environmental conservation and sustainability is an asset.
